When writing this page I found myself fighting back tears of thanksgiving and amazement at the team God has put together.  God must have something truly special in store for FBC Bogata.  Our team is stacked and we have the best Coach throughout eternity,

Philippians 1:3-6 came to mind in making this page: "3 I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, 4 always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, 5 because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. 6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ."

Our Volunteers . . .

My wife and I are the newest ones to join this team.  We are both originally from Georgia and moved out here in January of 2013.  We have fallen in love with the people of Bogata and are so thankful that God saw fit to bring us here!  We have a beautiful baby girl named Avery.  She is so precious to us!

We love young people and want to see them honor God in all they do.  We are excited about the opportunity to minister to your Children!

Jeff and Amy are both from Georgia.  They moved out here in September of 2012, heeding the call of God on their life.  Jeff is the Pastor and Amy is the Music director.  They make a fantastic team here at First Baptist.

They have students in the program as well . . . So it goes without saying that a Biblically solid youth Program is very important to them.  They both see the youth as the church of today . . . not tomorrow!  They have a desire to see every student serve God through serving at our church.

Wade and Haley are newlyweds and their love for each other is undeniable.  In this world of crumbling marriages, it is a great thing for the youth to have examples like them that did things the right way.

They have been a huge blessing to the Nick and Kristen.  We thank God for them often!

Clayton and Dee are always involved with something.  From the Bogata Rodeo, to Bogata Fest, to taking care of their newborn baby Camryn, (She is so adorable) they are always up to something.

They deeply care for students and want to see them impact their world for Christ.  Just be careful playing volleyball with Clayton . . . He is a beast!

Brad and Theresa are some of our resident bikers.  They love being involved in that ministry and God is using them in a mighty way!

Theresa is a gifted teacher and loves teaching our girls on Sunday morning during Sunday School,  She really has enjoyed our current study called "Basic".  It is evident that the Bible is more than a book to her,  What a joy it is having her teach our young girls!  They are in great hands!

Need a smile?  Need a laugh?  Need to talk about how awesome God is?  If this is your idea of a good time, these two are all too ready to join you!  These two do so much here at First Baptist, it is hard to imagine it without them!  They are willing to get their hands dirty so your kids can have a good time.

Spend anytime with them and you will see they are totally "souled" out for Jesus.  They are not ashamed of the Gospel!

Connie just recently saw here first child get married!  But don't think her time is freed up.  She is a huge help to our church through our van ministry.  Many of our students would not be able to come without her planning routes, getting drivers, and driving herself!  Get in touch with her if you have a child that would like to come, but doesn't have a ride.

Stephanie is her youngest child, and we are pleased that she is very active within our youth group!

Joe and Angela are vital to our worship services.  They are a part of our worship team and have a heart for leading people into the presence of the Lord.  They enjoy riding on Joe's motorcycle for fun.

They have two boys.  The youngest will be graduating this year and going off to school.  Angela herself just recently graduated in December with her masters degree.

Dusty is a hard working mother that has two children at home.  One of them graduates this year and the other has a few more years left to go.  Devon and Haley are great kids because they have a great mother!

Dusty loves singing in the choir with her brother Ray Lou and her sister Crystal.  She, and her family has been faithful to this church for many years!  With a heart of gold she is willing to jump in and help with anything the youth needs.

Crystal always has her hands full!  From leading our "Team Kid",to leading her own Children, and to teaching at Rivercrest Crystal is always impacting kids lives for the better.  Team Kid takes up a lot of her time, but she still finds time for deer hunting.  (See one of her kills to the right)

Crystal has a son that will be joining the youth group in a few years!

Have you ever heard someone say "He's just a big kid!"? They may have been talking about Ray Lou Damron.  Most of our students cannot hang with him during game time.  He is the kind of person you want on your team.  His competitiveness is motivating!

He is also the kind of man that you want in your church!  His life teaches these students what it means to walk with Christ.  He is a loving father figure to many of these kids that have never known the love of a their real father. Not much more to say than that he is a great man of God!

You may never see Caroline or Phil!  Why?  Because they are ALWAYS on the move doing something for our Lord!  From heading up our Operation Christmas Child, to going to the Philippines, to helping out at the food pantry . . . They are always serving the Lord!

Mrs. Caroline is also a gifted teacher who loves her Bible.  There is no doubt they are prayer warriors who call upon the risen Lord on behalf of your child.  What a great couple!
